an estimated 100 people came out to wager and eat barbecue in the Youth Building at Jack Brooks Park on state Highway 6 in Hitchcock.

Robert and Melany Johnson, 10, from Santa Fe, revealed they were doing “pretty good” at black jack, but had not won big as yet.
Melany confessed she learned to play black jack at her grandparent’s home.

Las Vegas style Monte Carlo Night: The Tequesta Parks and Recreation Department is endorsing the affair at the Tequesta Recreation Center 7-10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13.
Three black jack tables, a roulette wheel, a craps table and a wheel of fortune will be the games featured in addition to food and beverages and music from a variety of periods provided by a Dance N Sound DJ. Tickets are $5 and available at the recreation center. Only 160 tickets will be available for purchase.
