City officials state that the Ho-Chunk Nation did not submit requested documents by Friday confirming that the profit sharing deal the tribe signed with Madison would be legally binding.
In November, the city and county signed contracts with Ho-Chunk that pledge every municipality about $3.5 million annually if the DeJope bingo hall in southeast Madison is transformed into a casino.
Dane County voters will be asked in a vote Feb. 17 whether they are backing adding games like blackjack and craps to the facility.
