Senate panel refuses to repeal video lottery - 2004-02-06
A project to repeal video gambling and replace the lost earnings with a sales tax hike was declined Friday by a South Dakota Senate Committee.
The State Affairs Committee ended the repeal measure 7-2 after opponents stated that voters chose to keep the video lottery in 1992, 1994 and 2000.

The state and video lottery businesses divide the money players lose in the machines, which provide poker, blackjack, keno and bingo games.

Comedy, cheese, casino at MC Wine Tasting Expo - 2004-02-06
The Malden Catholic Lancers Association proudly offers Wine Tasting Expo, including comedian Jimmy Del Ponte from Oldies 103 "The Breakfast Club" is Saturday, March 6 from 7 p.m. to midnigfht at Malden Catholic High School, 99 Crystal St.

Other entertainment include raffles, a wine tasting with imported cheeses, music by Mike Valeras, jazz band. The casino will include blackjack, roulette and a money wheel. Dancing with music by DJ Larry Storace. Refreshments include a cash bar, a light buffet, coffee and pastries.
