At night he would sing his kids until they fell asleep.
For 7-year-old Tyler, it was "Somewhere over China" and then a reading of his favorite book, about a pig named Olivia. For Max, 10, it was "Sweet Baby James," because it focused on cowboys, and then a fastgame of sports trivia.
"Did I gamble? Yes. Did I lose tens of thousands of dollars? No. I played blackjack because I thought I could make a little money. I was told in treatment that drugs and gambling stimulate the same center in the brain."
