Dane County electors to make choice regarding casino proposal - 2004-02-05
Dane County voters will vote Feb. 17 in a nonbinding election on whether they want to permit an American Indian tribe to transform its bingo hall on the outskirts of town into a full-fledged casino with Las Vegas-style gambling.

The city, county and tribe revealed an agreement last year to permit the Ho-Chunk Nation to redevelop its bingo hall along Interstate 39/90 into a casino providing games like craps, black jack and slots as a substitute for the payments.
