Having come in Connecticut to take on Austria Friday through Sunday in the first round at Mohegan Sun Casino, the U.S. players are greatly favored, complete with talent and anxious to team up with one another.

If or when the slots bill being debated in the state Senate makes its way to the House of Representatives, Allegheny County state Rep. Paul Costa expects to push House Bill 1216 as an amendment. The bill would authorize video poker, keno and blackjack in one machine at liquor-licensed businesses such as clubs, taverns and restaurants.
