This ruler of East Coast gambling once had the market surrounded on slot machines, blackjack tables and roulette parlors. For over 15 years, it was comparable to the only game in town.
Then, Connecticut launched two casinos and Delaware added slot machines at racetracks, eating away at Atlantic City's core constituency of day-tripping seniors from the Northeast.
