Tribes' gambling contribution to state drops in third round - 2004-02-03
In the month of January, in the third round of quarterly payments since revenue sharing started in April, Arizona's gaming tribes contributed a total of $6.7 million to the state.
The Tucson region's two tribes, the Pascua Yaqui and Tohono O'odham, both began new fiscal years Oct. 1 and are in the middle of the state's four leading tribes in numbers of slot machines and blackjack tables. Neither decided to publicize how much it paid the state.
