Washington Minicasino Wager Enhancement - 2004-02-13
The Washington State Gambling Commission voted Thursday to multiply the maximum wager at minicasinos to $200.
Chiechi's group, which represents non-tribal gambling companies, petitioned the commission last July to raise the maximum bets for hands of blackjack and other card games to $300. They claimed that it would assist the state's more than 80 house-banked card rooms compete with tribal casinos, which have a $500 per-bet restriction and have seen their profits rise in recent years.
