If locals of Dane County vote next week to contest converting the DeJope bingo hall into a casino, Ho-Chunk Nation authorities declare they will not come back for a second effort.

Residents of Dane County will go to the polls to vote in a referendum on Feb. 17. They will determine whether they would favor seeing Ho-Chunk feature games like blackjack and craps to the bill at DeJope, which is situated in southeast Madison.

An expert gambler knows when folding should occur. Shuffle Master Inc. believes that time is now.

"The market generally grows only when new casinos enter the market," she wrote the latest report. "Market growth in existing casinos is static at best and negative at worst."
Shuffle Master seeks to defeat the problem by convincing casinos to throw out their old-style blackjack and poker tables with something more updated, Rickert insists.
