Bars and living rooms exploded across the region last night as the Patriots' Adam Vinatieri were victorious in the final seconds once again.

Before the game, The American Legion Post 18 in Dedham presented its second annual blackjack Super Bowl party. Funds from the event were contributed to various Legion programs, such as Boy State, Girl State and college scholarships.

Super Celebration - 2004-02-01
Celebrating one day of football has turned into a major social event at St. Michael Church Hall, where they've been rejoicing over the Super Bowl for 15 years.

St. Michael's parishioner Rob Guetzloff has been coordinating the event from the start. The sold-out Las Vegas-style party for 450 people featured an all-you-can-eat buffet, open bar and gambling -- such as blackjack tables, tip boards and a cash prize raffle.
