I.R.S closes in on gambling at hotel-casino - 2004-01-09
U.S. marshals and agents from the Internal Revenue Service closed down gambling at Binion's Horseshoe hotel-casino Friday, enforcing what a waiter reported was a federal court judgment for nonpayment of union benefits.
But roulette wheels were not spinning, blackjack games ended, slot machines were quiet and gamblers were instructed to cash in their chips about 7:30 p.m.
