New casino goes to Lake Stevens - 2004-01-09
When construction workers started constructing a new building a few blocks from his condominium last year, Bob Atkinson expected it would be a new family restaurant.
Randy Williams, general manager and part-owner of the new casino, stated that he thinks there's an untapped market in Lake Stevens and surrounding areas. Those residents seeking to play blackjack or poker have had to commute across the Hewitt Avenue into Everett to find the nearest minicasino.

In Cincinnati, a woman has gone to federal court to push for officials at the Argosy Casino in Lawrenceburg to prohibit her husband from its slot machines and blackjack tables. Johnnie Brown stated that her husband, Willie, had lost over $80,000 in retirement money at the casino.
