With the state currently awash in traditional lottery games, racetracks and mini-casinos full of video poker machines, Gov Bob Wise stated that he doesn’t see table games as gambling expansion.

He’s fine with so-called local option, helping voters to determine whether to add gambling games like blackjack and craps at the state’s four racetracks.

Mohegans Loan $1M To Wisconsin Tribe - 2004-01-08
Mohegan Tribal Chairman Mark Brown stated Wednesday that the Mohegans, proprietors of the Mohegan Sun Resort Casino, have lent about $1 million to the Menominee tribe of Keshena, Wis., and intend to offer more funding as the Menominees expand their casino operation.

The 8,000-member tribe runs the Menominee Casino Bingo Hotel with 650 slot machines and blackjack tables and bingo.
