2 women in custody over counterfeit plot - 2004-01-30
A New Orleans woman was taken into custody for trying her luck at a Kenner casino using $200 in counterfeit bills and then handing some of the phony cash to another gambler, authorities stated.

Natalie Moffett, 38, is suspected of using 10 fake $20 bills to play blackjack at the Treasure Chest casino in Kenner on Jan. 10, according to Trooper Omar Landrum, State Police representative.

Hartford man alleged to have stolen $900 - 2004-01-30
A Hartford man was arrested Thursday after police reported he was caught attempting to run off with nine $100 bills from a blackjack table at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Police stated that surveillance personnel saw Harvey Stanhope, 41, of 34 Forest St. put money in his shirt pocket and the money drop on the floor as he walked away.
