Mosley pens a new character plagued by trouble - 2004-01-03
In Walter Mosley's two reputable series, the protagonists are guys who don't want any trouble. They do, however, have violent friends who, enjoy a blackjack in the back pocket, get them in and out of tight spots in post-World War II Los Angeles.
For Easy Rawlins, the primary character in "Devil in a Blue Dress" and six other mysteries, it's Mouse Alex- ander. For Paris Minton, a shy bookseller recently shown in "Fear Itself," it's Fearless Jones who throws the first punch.
