Cyber-casino provokes Korean gambling battle - 2004-01-25
Kim Beom-hoon was labeled as a trailblazer when he went into the Internet gambling industry with North Korea. It appeared to be the perfect strategy to bridge a 50-year divide and open up one of the world's most alienated countries.
Jupae (from the North Korean word for card game) would welcome international netizens to play poker, blackjack and buy cyber-lottery tickets. North Koreans would be omitted, not that more than a handful even have computers or money to wager.
