Poor TV executives. These power brokers are forced to kiss up to the country's top critics, who head to Los Angeles twice a year, hoping to be plied with heart-stopping buffets, cheap gifts, free drinks and, most importantly, access to everyone from Angela Lansbury to whatshisface from "The O.C."
This year, their campaign involved an opportunity to play blackjack with "Average Joe" babe Melana Scantlin, a candy raid on the set of "Gilmore Girls" and a trip to the extravagant home of "Batman" producer Peter Guber.
