More than 25 years after he got busted cheating at blackjack, a gambler who was banned from Atlantic City casinos got lucky Wednesday.

Allen G. Perlman, 56, of Allentown, Pa., was removed from the state's blacklist after persuading regulators that he has lived a law-abiding life since getting caught "past-posting" — placing bets after cards were dealt — at Resorts International casino.

Regulators give gambling cheat a second chance - 2004-01-21
Officials at Resorts International Casino, where a man was caught cheating less than month following its launch in 1978, have given him the right to gamble again in Atlantic City.

Allen Perlman, 56, of Allentown, Pa., pleaded guilty to cheating at blackjack by placing bets once the cards were already dealt.
