Casino opponents, advocates unveil dueling research - 2004-01-21
A proposal to transform the Ho-Chunk Nation's bingo hall into a complete casino would either generate $47 million annually to Dane County's economy or rob it of $150 million annually, shown in two competing studies.

The city, county and tribe revealed a proposal last year that would permit the Ho-Chunk Nation to redevelop its bingo hall along Interstate 39/90 into a casino featuring Las Vegas-style games like craps, blackjack and slots in exchange for the payments.

Ho's New Casino Will Launch - 2004-01-21
Veteran gaming mogul Stanley Ho Hung-sun will launch his 12th casino in Macau on Wednesday, alongside the Chinese New Year's Eve celebration that marks the start of Macau's annual gambling cycle.

The new casino, covering 5,000 square feet, includes nine baccarat tables, two black-jack tables and two tables featuring the traditional Chinese 'cussec' game of dice also known as 'big-and-small.'
