Kiwanis celebrate 25 years of service - 2004-01-16
In the 1960s, the construction of the Massachusetts Turnpike literally seperated the Allston-Brighton community in two. The need for an east-to-west interstate highway was undeniable, but the need to serve the community outweighed the cement obstacle.
"At Las Vegas Night, I learned how to play black jack," chuckled the executive director of West End House Camp. "A good sense of friendship and camaraderie exists when we get together. "
