Blackjack affair a new presentation at Mohegan Sun - 2004-01-16
Every gambling facility in Connecticut is continuously in search of something fresh and exciting to give its patrons to gain exposure and enhance attendance.

But for the first time in Connecticut there will be a black jack tournament. The Mohegan Sun will act as host to the World Series of Black Jack tournament in its Wolf Den entertainment region on Jan. 24-25 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Foxx, sister to stand trial in casino fight - 2004-01-16
Comedian Jamie Foxx will stand trial Feb. 3 on one of two counts of battery regarding a scuffle with police in April at Harrah's Casino, while his sister will face two felony battery charges, Criminal District Court Judge Frank Marullo said Friday.

"He said, 'F -- -- you,' " Williams informed Marullo, describing the primary contact with Harrah's employees at the casino's Convention Center Boulevard entrance, before the scuffle and arrest at a blackjack table less than an hour after.
