'World Series of Blackjack' amongst new GSN programming - 2004-01-15
Game Show Network becomes GSN The Network for Games on March 15 (at 10 p.m., if you're marking your calendar).

Other GSN titles launching the week of March 15 feature "Kenny vs. Spenny," a Canadian import in which two young best friends abuse each other in weird real-life competitions, and "World Series of Blackjack," being shot later this month at Mohegan Sun.

Some films function like a Greek tragedy, following characters through their lives to an obvious fate that seems willed by the gods but was literally brought upon the characters by their own failings.

Macy appears so run-down and hopeless that it is easy to believe he could make you lose three grand at blackjack just by resting next to you. But neither Macy nor the screenplay ever makes Bernie fascinating enough to work an entire movie.
