Funds from slots and blackjack sought to fund $1 mil museum - 2004-01-15
City officials are seeking a $1 million grant from a tribe that has gambling casinos to assist in paying for a new exhibit at the Heard Museum.

Under Proposition 202, tribes were permitted to include slot machines and launch Nevada-style blackjack in their gaming facilities in return for sharing some of their casino winnings with the state.
