Churchill Downs Expresses Interest In Louisiana Track - 2004-01-14
After a decade since the last casino boats folded on Savannahs River Street, a new project is ready to roll the dice. Three weeks ago, Savannah City Council authorized a liquor license for Millionaires Casino, a 187-foot boat able to hold 450 passengers.

Manager partner Jim Monaghan stated that the boat will include 325 slot machines and live gambling at black jack, craps, roulette and poker tables, as well as sports betting through satellite feed.

Sacred Heart Will Host This Year's Casino Fundraiser - 2004-01-14
Sacred Heart School will hosts its fourth annual Tropicana Casino Night fundraiser Saturday, Jan. 24. Patrons are encouraged to help the children of this region by playing blackjack, roulette and craps.

Attendees will enjoy dinner; live, silent and Chinese auctions; a raffle; door prizes in addition to gaming.
