Gambling on sports is punishable by dismissal, name-calling, plaque-denial and a destiny worse than all the above -- non-stop TV interviews.

We agree when Fox's Jimmy Johnson rips cautious play-calling in the NFL playoffs and uses blackjack and poker as the most approximate strategic and spiritual comparisons. He's right. High-stakes sports action is the best.

Proposal to broaden bingo hall excludes bingo - 2004-01-12
The Ho-Chunk Nation's proposal to broaden a bingo hall into a casino would exclude the 1,200-seat bingo hall to create space for hundreds of slot machines.

Dane County residents will vote in a Feb. 17 election on expanded gambling at DeJope Bingo Hall, authorizing games such as slot machines, blackjack, poker and roulette.
Eventually, table games such as blackjack and poker might be included, Cleveland stated, but the first expansion will be primarily slot machines.
