Co-founder Findlay public relations was a regular gambler - 2004-01-11
Sharon Kay Newkirk, a regular gambler who co-founded an advertising and public relations firm in Findlay, died Tuesday from problems with surgery after suffering an aortic aneurysm as she played blackjack in Las Vegas, where she died. She was 66.
On her last night in Las Vegas, Ms. Newkirk was playing blackjack when she was hit, her daughter-in-law, Lori Sheidler, stated. Ms. Newkirk called "hit me" from the stretcher and won, Mrs. Sheidler reported.
